The best things in life are free

Although I complain about small insignificant things at times, rant about the movies, games and jobs of today I also find myself wondering about the smaller things in life.

I'd like to think of myself as a very spiritual person. I'm a wiccan, and believe that there is more than meets the eye. I have met and spoken to ghosts, (or should I say Ghost) before. Why am I writing this entry? Because I came across a random blog that reminded me of such things. Things like this, things that I think about every day.

You don't have to believe me if you don't want to. I'm stating my opinion, my view on things. Something that is done everyday by millions of people, especially on the web and especially on blogs.

Anyway,

Its the little things that make life worthwile. I'm not big on driving everywhere so I tend to walk everywhere instead. I was walking to the shops a few days ago and got caught in the rain, it was only a light shower so it didn't bother me. What amazed me was the fact that the streets were full of people, and in those few seconds where the rain began to full. People scuttled back to buildings, cars and homes, and left the streets virtually empty.

Why?

The light showers were pleasant, and the scent of water was in the air. Whilst it was cold the sun still managed to push its way through the dreary clouds creating a soft warmth upon my face.
The highlight of my day, would have to be waiting at the bus stop and seeing three rainbows, all lined up next to each other. I stared at them for a long time and actually missed my bus because of it.

Since I missed my bus I found myself sitting next to another, a lady who had a bunch of shopping. We exchanged pleasantries and I found I had a lot in common with this stranger, she made my day with her friendly banter, so I was thankful I missed the bus.

People rush around too much in their daily lives.
I think everyone should take a few minutes out there day to just stop. Stop everything, take a few deep breaths and enjoy...cherish the life you have.
