Now not many of you may have noticed but I have been sitting here for the past three or four hours trying to get my blog looking a bit better, I've sat here a fiddlin' and a fuddlin' refreshing and refreshin as I attempted to see the new blog themes and settings.
I think I went through about 20 different themes and variations till I sat on this one, and I am still working on it too. So don't mind the mixy match up of this blog for now.
I got to fix the subscription and RSS feeds, I also need to fix the top part, the squares are meant to flow nicely but they don't. Ugh HTML you and I could never have a deep and meaningful relationship. For you are too complicated and needy, I am simple. Thus, we broke up.
Anyway...
I guess I should talk a bit about my advanced movie screening that I saw on the weekend with my little sister Katie, Coraline. I bought munchies... SIX BUCKS for ONE BAG of malteasers

MALTEASERS....SIX BUCKS
Movie theatres, they get the majority of their money from their food, too bad the screening was too early for any shops to be open. Could have saved myself a good $4. I got to go with my good friend Olli, I love ya Olli.
Now, back to the movie, Coraline. The screening was in 3D and I was very impressed, perhaps it had something to do with the fact that I hadn't seen a 3D movie for a good five years.
Now I hear that Coraline was based off of a book, but I have yet to read it so I can't really compare the two.

I liked the movie, Although I don't recommended i for young kids, since it does have a few 'horror' elements. Then again it was based off of a horror novel so you have to expect that. The songs that were played during Coraline were absolutely enchanting, mystical with an innocent melody. That's the sort of thing a lot of movies are missing these days, good soundtracks.
The 'alternate world' Was incredibly bright and appealing, and the 3D only enhanced this effect. I did expect a little more depth from the movie but overall it was a good experience, I got to spend the day with my little sister, who I usually enjoy hanging out with.
All in all, bare with the weird updates and such as I attempt to get this theme workin~
I heard this movie was good from a cousin and I do like to see a good Tim Burton movie from time to time. It is out on DvD over here so hopefully I can get my hands on a copy. Then again it probably does not compare to the theatres.
ReplyDeleteMaltesers look like some candy we have over here that I haven't had in forever but I know they were delicious and I am a bit envious of you >.<
and last of all the theme is nice, fits your criteria well and I think you found a keeper. If you can get whatever the top does to work it will be over the top
