They're tasty and crunchy, and filled with so many innuendo's that they're practically overflowing edible sex jokes. Let's see how many we can make in the one post, shall we? I like Tacos (see look there's one there) They're tasty, filling and satisfying and fairly easy to make.
Yet, me being the daughter of my mother, always makes too much, so I invited a few friends over. This was a few weeks ago, then last week, and now again this week. See, we now have a special night called 'Taco night' at my house, where me and my friends get together to share the bountiful joy of the succulent taco. It was originally only three people, including myself. In the past two weeks that number has skyrocketed to ten. I was happy about this, untill I realized something.
I only have four chairs.
Reminds me of that scene in family guy, when Peter asks what heaven is like and he gets a rather blunt reply of... "There's a lack of chairs."
So now I have to wonder where to put all my hungry salivating friends. Will we stand around a table? or perhaps sit on the floor on a blanket? Either way I'll work something out. I find that tacos are fairly messy, no matter how careful you are with eating them, you always tend to get juices dripping down your chin, and they seem to burst on you, showering you in meaty cheesy, lettucey mess.
Just a small note about the cooking instructions for the shells that my dear Keri found. 'Insert into mouth of taco to keep taco wide."
It amused me, greatly amused me. Especially with my mind.
It was one of those little plastic wedges, that you have in the tacos to stop them from curving down or snapping or whatever the hell it is that tacos do when they get all hot in the oven.
Overall I'm really looking forward to taco night, and figured I would blogt about it since I can't think of anything else to write about, perhaps I should write my entries at night rather than in the middle of the day. Who knows, I might get trampled by Kangaroos on the way home.
Because in Australia, that's what happens.

Ah well the Taco is an amazing meal and is plenty of fun to make when you have lots of things. When you get some friends then that only adds to the insanity and mischief.
ReplyDeleteOh and as for the kangaroos, you can thank that stereotypical world we live in for that lol
Wow... suddenly tacos sound really yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about making for dinner tonight, but you've just helped me plan it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with YOUR taco night. Sounds fun!
:-)
Love tacos!!
ReplyDeleteIt is my honest belife that I was born in the wring country, I'm not really swedish, I can't be, hate the swedish weather, Australia is a totally different story, and I'm so so so happy that sucked it up and did three months of farmwork last time so that I can go back for another year! However, Christmas is the one time of year that Sweden is really great (I do realise that this probably have more to do with my friends and family living there rather than Sweden itself, but still) and I'm actually quite happy to skip London for a bit as well :) But if I had the money I would be on the plane to OZ first thing after new years (now I have to wait til sep next year) Oh dear, this turned in to one long comment! Enjoy the taco :) x Sofi
@Shado I'm very suprsied that you didn't have a comment filed with various innuendo shado~
